At the beginning of 2020, we still could write about the controversy surrounding the use of technology in foreign language teaching, about teachers’ fears related to it, their reluctance to technology and the lack of digital competence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and the transfer of all university classes online has changed a lot and accelerated many processes planned for the following years. Currently, we still don’t know what the final education at universities will look like in the academic year 2020\/2021, but using the experience and skills acquired through the pandemic it is worth to change and modernise your approach to teaching a foreign language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new normal may require us to teach the so-called hybrid way, where several students are with us in the classroom and the rest participate in classes online. The number of students in our language groups is growing, and it is difficult to give all students the same attention and engage them in the work in the same way. It is important to ensure that during the classes it is the students who work doing practical tasks, cooperating and creating the final product, and to transfer the theoretical part of the classes to the online modules and ask the students to perform at home using the methodology of the flipped classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This academic year I intend to focus on the development of practical tasks that my students will perform in the classroom after they have learned the necessary vocabulary to master the following topics. The texts from the textbook will be developed in the form of tutorials available on YouTube and materials for understanding and repetition of vocabulary will be developed in the form of presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wybuch pandemii Covid-19 i przeniesienie wszystkich zaj\u0119\u0107 uniwersyteckich online wiele zmieni\u0142 i przyspieszy\u0142 wiele proces\u00f3w zaplanowanych na kolejne lata. Obecnie wci\u0105\u017c nie wiemy jak ostatecznie b\u0119dzie wygl\u0105da\u0142a edukacja na uczelniach w roku akademickim 2020\/2021, ale wykorzystuj\u0105ce do\u015bwiadczenie i umiej\u0119tno\u015bci nabyte dzi\u0119ki pandemii warto zmieni\u0107 i unowocze\u015bni\u0107 swoje podej\u015bcie do nauczania j\u0119zyka obcego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nowa rzeczywisto\u015b\u0107 mo\u017ce wymaga\u0107 od nas nauczania tzw. hybrydowego, gdzie kliku student\u00f3w znajduje si\u0119 z nami w sali zaj\u0119ciowej, a reszta uczestniczy w \u0107wiczeniach online. Nasze grupy zaj\u0119ciowe s\u0105 coraz liczniejsze i trudno po\u015bwi\u0119ci\u0107 wszystkim studentom tak\u0105 sam\u0105 uwag\u0119 i w jednakowym stopniu zaanga\u017cowa\u0107 ich w prac\u0119.
